Motherhood is my greatest blessing. “No Dookies” is a concept inspired by my pregnancy. Half-joking and half-dreaming one afternoon, I said, “Wouldn’t it be so cute and funny if…”
Nine months later I found myself basking in the glow of my daughter and simultaneously becoming a single parent. Nothing could have prepared me for the adventure of a newborn. Embarking on the journey alone, scared, and apprehensive about a future I thought I had planned became a challenge I was determined to face with strength and grace.
Still feeling vulnerable and uncertain about how I would provide for a child alone and fill the shoes of mother and father, I made a decision to marry two things I am passionate about; children and sports. With the help of a trusted friend I took a leap of faith, brought the dream into reality, and the “No Dookies” brand was born.
Those who know me understand my passion for sports, for all things Carolina, and for my lovely daughter. They also know I nurture my goofy side. I laugh as much as possible and choose to see the positive side to every situation. It is this attitude that got me through some tough times. It is the same outlook that keeps me moving forward, striving to be a good mother and person for the sake of my child.
